We evaluated whether the level of inherent SAC is associated with changes in R-Squared, Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), and residual SAC (r SAC), after accounting for SAC during modeling procedure. In this study, we hypothesized that SAC inherently possessed by a response variable (i.e., water quality parameter) influences the outcomes of spatial modeling. The Sobek software package is used for SAC-SMA modelling and simulation of river system. The SAC-SMA model has sixteen calibration parameters, and also uses a unit hydrograph for surface flow routing. In this study, the river basin is divided into (64) sub-catchments and the Sacramento Soil Moisture Accounting ( SAC-SMA) models are developed by using satellite rainfall and Geographic Information System (GIS) data.
